Brian Trauman

Brian Trauman is KPMG’s Risk Management, National Principal-in-Charge, Tax, where they focus on transforming the risk management function to empower the business and modernize KPMG's approach to risk. Prior to this role, Brian served as KPMG’s first Chief Data Officer, Tax, leveraging data to create value for clients, and held leadership positions in transfer pricing and tax controversy. Their career includes significant roles such as Partner at Mayer Brown LLP and Attorney-Advisor at the US Tax Court. Brian also holds a JD from the University of Florida and an LLM in Tax Law from New York University School of Law. Additionally, they are a Board Member for the GenderCool Project and Behind the Book.
