Ben Balk

Ben Balk has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Ben is currently serving as a Senior Director of DevOps and Software at OnCorps since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Michigan as a Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer from February 2021 to October 2021 and as a Senior Storage Engineer from May 2015 to February 2021. Before their time at the University of Michigan, Ben Balk worked as an Implementation Manager at Merge Healthcare (formerly DR Systems) from March 2015 to April 2015. Ben also held multiple positions at DR Systems, including Infrastructure Manager from February 2014 to March 2015, Systems Support Engineer from February 2011 to February 2014, and Field Service Engineer from September 2007 to February 2011. Ben Balk's early career includes the role of Database and Software Specialist at Rochester College from June 2006 to September 2007.

Ben Balk attended the University of Michigan from 2002 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Computer Engineering. In 2023, they earned a certification as a Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation.
