Weiguo Yao

Weiguo Yao is currently the Associate Director at Oncorus, where they lead the immunology team in strategizing and executing studies to characterize oncolytic virus mechanisms of action, candidate configuration, and clinical support. Previously, Weiguo worked as a Senior Scientist at Merck, advancing immuno-oncology drug discovery and leading various projects related to autoimmune diseases. They also served as a postdoctoral fellow and Research Associate at Indiana University, where they characterized immune responses and developed assays for multiple research applications. Weiguo's extensive background in immunology, immuno-oncology, and cell biology supports significant contributions in both academic and pharmaceutical settings.
