Billy Steeghs

Billy Steeghs has been working in the technology industry since 1994. Billy began their career as the Founder and CEO of Trymentec, where they worked closely with decision-makers to identify, recommend, develop, architect, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions. In 2004, they moved to MDI as the Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Vice President of Information Technology. In 2012, they became the Managing Director of Academic Technology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide. In 2013, they joined MSP as the Executive Vice President of Security and IT Service Delivery. In 2020, they co-founded SIRT and took on the role of Co-Founder and Research & Technology. In 2021, they co-founded Everything Motorsports and became the Co-Founder and General Manager. In 2022, they co-founded VIPowned and became the Co-Founder and NFT & Blockchain. Billy also co-founded OnDefend in 2016 and has been managing the day-to-day operations, resource management, financial management, and scaling of the company as the Co-Founder and COO, CISO. As the Chief Information Security Officer, they assist Partners and Clients with developing solutions and services that mature their cyber security strategy, risk management, testing, and security awareness programs.

Billy Steeghs has an education history that includes a Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Telecommunications from MBO College Venlo, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. In 2016 and 2017, they completed Professional Education - Paid Online Courses in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2018, they attended YCombinator - Startup School for Startups and Entrepreneurship.
