Greg Asner

Greg Asner is the Director of the Center for Global Discovery and Conservation Science at Arizona State University, where they lead research initiatives focused on the stewardship of terrestrial and marine ecosystems. They have held various positions, including Senior Scientist at the Carnegie Institution for Science and Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, and have expertise in combining diverse ecological methods to monitor and protect nature amid global environmental changes. Additionally, Asner serves on multiple advisory boards and has a PhD in Environmental Population and Organismic Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Previously, they worked as a US Navy Diver and Special Operations Officer.
