William Menson is a physician and public health leader with over a decade of experience in health financing reforms, immunisation strategies, and systems strengthening across nearly 20 countries on four continents. Currently serving as the Director of Health Financing for Africa at ONE, they lead advocacy efforts to increase domestic health investment. Previously, Menson held the position of Senior Manager at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, where they managed financing engagements and played a significant role in COVID-19 vaccine delivery across Africa. Their career started as a medical officer in Ghana and includes roles at McKinsey & Company and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, among others. Menson holds an MD from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with additional training in health economics and financing.
