Nick Heap

Nick Heap's work experience includes positions at several companies. Nick started their career at Syscom PLC in 1997, where they worked as an Analyst/Programmer and focused on developing and supporting the Systex product. Nick also served as the lead developer of the Cashbook module. In 1999, they joined ATMS Plc as a Systems Developer and was responsible for creating a certified OpenEdge to SAP interface using OpenEdge and C++. Nick then moved to One Advanced in 2011, where they worked as a Principal Developer and played an active role in the DevOps, Architect, and Toolchain communities. Nick implemented best practices and provided advice on toolchain for the enterprise. After leaving One Advanced in 2018, they joined Pace IT Systems Ltd as a Senior Developer and later became the Lead Developer. In this role, they mentored teams, worked on modernization projects, developed proof of concepts, and drove devops adoption. Currently, they are working at Advanced as a Principal Software Engineer.

Nick Heap attended The Streetly School from 1982 to 1989. Nick later pursued a BA (Hons) / BSC (Hons) degree in Philosophy with Psychology at Staffordshire University from 1994 to 1997.
