Deepak Malhotra has a diverse work experience in various companies. Deepak co-founded Brick - Financial API in 2020 and was responsible for its establishment. From 2015 to 2019, they co-founded and served as the ex-CTO of slice, a fintech startup that offered users an alternative to credit cards and small loans at zero-cost interest. Prior to that, Deepak worked at PayPal from 2012 to 2015, where they held the positions of Software Engineer 2 and Software Engineer. At PayPal, they contributed to projects such as developing a Platform as a Service (PaaS) based product for on-demand scheduling and execution of cron jobs, and building a seller recommendation engine for PayPal and eBay sellers. Deepak also gained experience as an intern at Param 24-7xs Technologies Corporation S.L, where they worked on web development and automation projects. In 2011, Deepak interned at eBay India, focusing on developing a monitoring and analysis dashboard for the Platforms team. In 2010, they worked as a Research Trainee at Grasim Industries Ltd, where they researched the implementation of SAP ERP software and developed an issue tracking application.

Deepak Malhotra attended Central Academy from 1994 to 2008. It is not specified whether they earned a degree or pursued any field of study during this period. Following that, they enrolled in the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science.
