Junya Umeno

Junya Umeno is the Head of Japan at OneChronos, where they lead the firm's entry and growth in the Japanese and APAC markets. With nearly three decades of experience in trading, liquidity, and client relationship management, they collaborate closely with institutional investors and regulators to enhance market structure and execution quality. Previously, Junya served as Managing Director at BlackRock Japan, overseeing various trading and management functions and building relationships with major institutional clients. They also contributed to market development as Co-Chair of the FIX Trading Community Japan Regional Committee from 2012 to 2025. Junya holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Kobe University and a master's degree in Finance from Waseda University.
