Jim Hackett

Jim Hackett has extensive experience in safety, security, and emergency management, demonstrated through various roles across multiple organizations. At IKEA Group, Jim managed safety and security operations for a large retail facility, while at Oak Park Elementary District 97, leadership involved overseeing safety for 10 schools with 6,200 students and 800 staff. As a Security Project Manager at DSV - Global Transport and Logistics, compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements was ensured for Air & Sea facilities. Previous roles included serving as a Biosecurity Officer for the University of Chicago and consulting for the Village of Beach Park on emergency management protocols. Jim's career began with law enforcement as a Police Officer in the Village of Schaumburg. Jim holds a Master of Arts in Emergency Management and Homeland Security and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies, both from Arizona State University.
