CEO at OneEnergy

Tobin is focused on leading OneEnergy’s mission and strategic direction. He specializes in cultivating sustainable business operations and building cohesive teamwork across disciplines. Throughout his 20-plus year professional career, he has worked in solar facility engineering, construction, development, and asset management.

During his career in the solar industry, Tobin has led the delivery of 1.5 GW of solar across 900 sites in 30 U.S. states and territories. Prior to joining OneEnergy, Tobin founded and served as CEO of Blue Oak Energy, a full-service solar engineering and construction firm. Upon the successful sale of Blue Oak Energy to Coronal Energy and Panasonic, he served as Coronal Energy’s Chief Engineering Officer. Most recently, Tobin has been the CEO of Stokes Vannoy where he focused on investing in operating solar projects as long term investments.

He has extensive experience delivering commercial and utility-scale projects for contractors, investors, municipalities, and governmental institutions. Earlier in his career, Tobin worked in power electronics at Trace Engineering, and with off-grid solar projects at Applied Power Corporation.

Tobin received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is a licensed Mechanical Engineer, licensed Electrical Engineer and a licensed Contractor. He hails from North Carolina but has called the Pacific Northwest home for more than a decade.
