John Butler is a seasoned technology professional with over two decades of experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as SVP ISF Watchkeeper at Lloyd's Register OneOcean since April 2023, John has also co-founded IT Energy, where responsibilities include serving as CTO since May 1999, and Parity Cloud Solutions since February 2018. Prior experience includes holding the position of CTO at GlobalView Software from 2000 to 2002 and working as an IT Support Consultant at Engen from 1992 to 1994. John Butler holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Information Technology from the University of Cape Town, obtained between 1987 and 1991, and is an alumnus of St Albans College, having attended from 1982 to 1986.
