Barry Whyte has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Barry started their career as a Multimedia Salesperson at Incredible Connection before moving on to roles such as Sales and Support at Specific Computer Applications and Shockwave Computers. Barry then worked as a Software Developer at Resonance Software Design, where they led the development of educational software titles. Barry also worked as a Web Developer at E-Freaks Web Design, where they focused on designing web presence solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. Barry later owned and operated their Information Systems consultancy, Avatar Technologies, where they provided IT and development services to multiple companies. Barry then worked as a Contract Developer at Creative Rush, where they worked on a variety of web technologies and developed bespoke systems. Barry later joined Ignition Group as a Senior Web Developer Team Lead and led a team of developers. Barry worked as a System Architect and Technical Lead at Extellient, where they developed for various platforms and was involved in software and system architecture conception. Barry currently works at OnePulse as the Head Architect and Software Development Manager, responsible for leading a team and ensuring the stability and delivery of the OnePulse micro-survey platform.
Barry Whyte's education history is as follows:
Barry started their education at Northwood Boys High School, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Barry then attended Damelin Computer School from 1996 to 1998, where they pursued Information Technology. Barry obtained a Practical Networking Diploma with Distinction from Damelin in 1998. In 1999, they enrolled at CTI but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study.
In 2012 and 2013, Barry attended New Horizons Computer Learning Centres, where they focused on Programming and Web Development and obtained a diploma in the field. Later, from 2014 to 2022, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in BSc Computer Science at UNISA/OU.
Throughout their education, Barry also obtained several certifications. In 1996, they received a PC Hardware Support Diploma, and in the same year, they obtained a PC Upgrade & Repair Certificate, both from Damelin. In 2000, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional in Administering MS SQL Server. In 2013, they achieved the MCSD 70-480 certification in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft and the Zend Certified PHP Engineer 5.3 certification from Zend Technologies. In 2014, Barry received the MCSD 70-486 certification in Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications from Microsoft. Finally, in 2017, they obtained the TCF - Test de connaissance du Francais (B1) certificate from TCF.

OnePulse is a digital platform that makes market research engaging, producing real-time consumer insights effectively and inexpensively.
