Jorge Nunez

Jorge Nunez is a Research & Development Software Engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab since 2018, with expertise in innovative fluid-structure coupling techniques and numerical simulations. Prior to this role, Jorge completed a PhD in Mechanics at INSA Lyon from 2014 to 2017, where development of a fluid-structure interaction method and teaching activities in Continuum Mechanics and Additive Manufacturing were key responsibilities. Jorge's experience includes R&D work on mechanical properties of carbon-fiber-reinforced composite materials, engineering internships at Dassault Systemes focused on CATIA V6, and a student role as a tram operator for Keolis. Education includes an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Lyon, completed in 2013. Technical skills encompass expertise in computer programming languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, and Python, as well as strong project management and scientific communication abilities.
