Matru Acharya

Matru Acharya has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Matru currently works at OneTrust as a Senior Principal Software Engineer, where they lead the data engineering team in building data pipelines using python, pySpark, and databricks.

Prior to OneTrust, Matru worked at Manhattan Associates from 2012 to 2021. During their time there, they held various roles including Senior Principal Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for designing, coding, and delivering analytics and reporting products in the Supply Chain Management domain using technologies such as Cognos Analytics, Hadoop ecosystem, AWS, GCP, python, docker, and bash scripting.

Before joining Manhattan Associates, Matru worked at Tech Mahindra (formerly Mahindra Satyam) from 2005 to 2012. Matru held positions such as Technical Project Manager, Project Lead, Technical Lead, and Software Engineer, where they gained experience in project management and software development.

Overall, Matru Acharya has a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in data engineering, analytics, reporting, and supply chain management.

Matru Acharya completed their B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from KIIT Deemed University in Bhubaneswar from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained their Class XII degree from DAV Public School in Bhubaneswar from 1999 to 2001, with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and English. Matru completed their Class X degree from the same school in 1999. Matru Acharya attended Delhi Public School in Nalconagar, Angul from 1987 to 1998, where they completed their Nursery to Class IX education, covering subjects such as English, Science, Social Studies, Maths, Hindi, and Oriya. Matru Acharya also has additional certifications from IBM, including being an IBM Certified Cognos 10 BI Author and an IBM Certified Developer Cognos 10 BI Metadata Models. Matru has also obtained a certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain. Matru is currently enrolled at Westside Martial Arts in Marietta, GA, pursuing Taekwondo.
