Algaewheel uses daylight to power an advanced algal hybrid treatment solution. Algaewheel has skillfully optimized the mutually symbiotic relationship between algae and bacteria in a fully engineered modular treatment system.

Algae and bacteria form a biofilm on the wheels. The algal biofilm is saturated with oxygen, a by-product of photosynthesis, removing the need to provide costly aeration.

This revolutionary fixed film technology uses photosynthesis to cultivate a biological ecosystem that autonomously delivers advanced treatment with little energy use and no need for complex process control or dedicated staff, transforming the viability of decentralized treatment.

Algaewheel’s contemporary ecostructure and modular design brings 21st century thinking and technology to the decentralized treatment sector. The ecostructure is a synthesis of form and function, combining the ideal treatment environment for the process with aesthetics that make it easy to integrate into any community.
