Matthew Ridley

Matthew Ridley is currently the Director of Sustainability and Innovation at oneworld Alliance, a role started in October 2024, focused on enhancing technology and decreasing travel's environmental impact. Prior to this, Matthew served as an investor in multiple companies, including ZeroAvia and LanzaJet, from 2021 to November 2024. Additionally, Matthew has held mentoring roles at The Alacrity Foundation UK and CyLon, providing guidance to future tech entrepreneurs and cybersecurity start-ups, respectively. Previously, Matthew was the Head of Venture Capital at International Airlines Group, managing investments in transformative travel tech, starting from September 2017 to October 2024. Matthew's early investment experience includes roles in companies like Assaia, Monese, Exonar, and OXFORD PHOTOVOLTAICS LIMITED. Matthew holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from UCL and a Master's Degree in Public Administration & Governance from the University of Exeter.
