John started their career in 2006 as an Engineering Technology Intern at Synthes, where they gained experience in document control and introduced to Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2 modeling and assemblies. In 2007, they worked as a Product Development Engineering Co-op for Synthes' Veterinary Division, participating in various projects and analyzing product performance. John continued their co-op program in 2008 as a Product Development Engineering Co-op, focusing on Large Fragments and gaining advanced modeling techniques and a deeper understanding of the manufacturing process. In 2009, they worked as a Product Development Engineering Co-op for Synthes in the Sustaining Engineering group, assisting in the design of surgical instruments and fusion plates for the foot.
