Gary Porter

Gary Porter has a strong background in cloud computing and architecture, with over 10 years of experience in various roles. Gary began their career at Rackspace in 2010 as a Support Systems Engineer, where they gained foundational knowledge in managing cloud systems. In 2014, they joined Rackspace - Australia as a Senior Solutions Engineer, focusing on providing advanced solutions for clients. In 2016, they transitioned to Rackspace as a Cloud Architect - Azure, furthering their expertise in cloud technologies. In 2017, they joined i360 as the Director of Cloud Computing, leading the development and implementation of cloud strategies for the organization. Gary returned to Rackspace Technology in 2020 as a Cloud Architect, expanding their skills in cloud architecture and design. Currently, they are working at Onica by Rackspace Technology as an AWS Solutions Architect, leveraging their extensive knowledge in AWS solutions.

Gary Porter attended The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2003 to 2006. The degree name and field of study for this period are unknown. In terms of additional certifications, Gary obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022. Gary also received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification in September 2022 and the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification in January 2020. Additionally, Gary completed the Migration Ambassador Foundations (Business) program at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022.
