Vera Palea

Vera Palea, Ph.D. in Finance and Accounting, is a Full Professor in Corporate Finance and Reporting at the University of Torino's Department of Economics and Statistics. Currently, Vera serves as an Independent Board Member and Chair of the Sustainability Committee at Ersel Banking Group while participating in various sustainability-focused committees and projects, including those with EFRAG and UNCTAD. Vera's research primarily centers on IFRS adoption in the European Union, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development and climate-related disclosures. Active in the academic and professional community, Vera has published extensively in leading journals and holds multiple roles in financial risk management and corporate sustainability initiatives.
