Onomondo Names Antti Korhonen has its New Senior Account Executive

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has named Antti Korhonen as a senior account executive. Based in Copenhagen, Antti will focus on business development, sales and partnerships, reporting to Sales Manager Bruno Leite. Antti has more than eight years of marketing and customer success experience with Siteimprove and Visma, and has a Master of Arts from the University of Oulu in his native Finland. His Arts degree is wide-ranging, illustrating his interests in history, international business, economics, political science and East Asian studies. Having worked and studied in a range of fields, he says when he first started working in sales three years ago, he knew it was for him. “My boss at the time taught me that it's actually being there and helping the customer, and allowing them to actually come to you. It’s more about customer success than actually selling them stuff,” Antti said. “It's very good to just listen and be there for the customers and see how you can help them get more value.” Antti jokingly refers to himself as a climate refugee, moving to Germany and then Denmark from northern Finland to escape the bitter cold and the roughly eight months of snow he experienced every year growing up. He now lives with his wife and two children, who he is raising to speak both Finnish and Danish. He is a prolific reader, particularly sales books, and calls himself a traditionalist for his preference for books over Kindles.

Onomondo Welcomes Laura Verleyen to the Team

IoT provider Onomondo has welcomed Laura Verleyen to its team as Senior Business Development Representative. In her new role, Laura will be the first contact with potential partners, helping to provide innovative and productive solutions that satisfy customer needs. She will be based in Copenhagen and report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite. Laura most recently served as a sales consultant for LetsBuild, calling, engaging and onboarding new clients. Prior to that, she held a range of roles with Belgian travel company Connections; working as a sales advisor, travel agent and shop manager from 2014 to 2019. She moved to Copenhagen with her partner, an engineer, at the start of 2020. Laura has a Master’s degree in multilingual business communication from the University of Antwerp. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in tourism management (distinction) from the Erasmus School in Brussels. An accomplished linguist, she can speak Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. She is extremely social and likes to go skiing in her spare time, particularly in Austria. “Already I'm amazed at how intelligent my Omonodo colleagues are, and how everybody's working towards the same goal,” Laura said. “It's amazing to see because, especially in sales, there's sometimes a lot of rivalry. And I haven't noticed even a pinch of anything there, which is really exciting.”

Onomondo is Excited to Announce the Hire of Oana Pop

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has named Oana Pop as its Workplace Experience Manager. Oana’s role is to ensure workplace cohesion and employee satisfaction, building on the company’s proud culture for all its staff. She will be based in Copenhagen and report to Head of Operations Janus Lindau. Oana has broad experience in finance, office management, hospitality and service. She most recently served as an office coordinator for the trade technology platform Tradeshift, and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, working in broad roles across her native Romania, Italy and Denmark. Oana has a Master’s degree in Brand and Communications Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Copenhagen Business School. She has lived in Denmark for eight years and can speak Danish, English, Italian and Romanian. Oana believes her biggest strength is her ability to listen and her resilience. Her most enjoyable role before this one was as hospitality supervisor, encountering different people, working across a wide range of departments and dealing with unique requests from people of different backgrounds. “The culture at Onomondo is really great. What they’ve managed to create already is amazing, so the challenge is to keep the culture the way that it is as we expand,” Oana said. “Working with a lot of developers in a startup environment helped create the culture where everyone gets along, everything is fun, and you're never afraid to say what your opinion is. When around 12 people from commercial backgrounds are hired, that’s a huge change - because commercial people have a different mindset. So it's also about how we integrate these two things to work best for everybody”.

Onomondo Hires Jesper Jørgensen as Senior Account Executive

Onomondo is excited to announce that Jesper Jørgensen has joined the Sales Closing team as a Senior Account Executive. In his new role he will report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite and work from the company’s headquarter in Central Copenhagen. As a Senior Account Executive on the newly established Commercial Team Jesper will be responsible for structuring the processes around onboarding new customers as well as systematizing the company’s New Business efforts. This is something he is looking very much forward to as it allows him to have a lot of customer contact. The daily calls with customers are one of the key drivers for Jesper. “I find it highly motivating to connect with customers to understand their needs and challenges and then try to solve these with the Onomondo solution” Jesper said. Jesper’s career took off immediately after graduating high school when he started as a Sales Associate with Lemvig-Müller but after only two years he was headhunted to British Airways in Dublin, Ireland. While in Dublin Jesper moved to Datadog, initially as Sales Development Representative but progressed to Senior Account Executive after only two years with the company. It was his extensive experience and results from Datadog that landed him the position with Onomondo. “I had learnt a lot about sales and frameworks to optimize sales processes but I was looking for new challenges within the field of tech” he said. On the challenges ahead with building the sales institution from scratch in Onomondo Jesper said: “It is definitely a challenge to build everything up from nothing but it is so rewarding that I get to influence the process and bring in my expertise. There is such a short way from thought to action and that is really exciting”. Having spent a lot of his childhood years growing up in Greenland, later moving around with his family between Denmark, Germany, Canada and most recently lived in Ireland Jesper is no stranger to living abroad but he is excited to be back in Denmark and Copenhagen as he can then spend his spare time renovating his 2nd generation Datsun Sunny veteran car. Hoping he will be able to take it for a drive in the summer of 2021. Unsure if he is actually willing to sell it after spending five years with the project Jesper hopes to one day be able to trade his way to renovate an old Jaguar XK120. Who can blame him?
