Eric Wright has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Eric started their career as an Associate Faculty at Ashford University in 2008. Eric then moved on to ITT Technical Institute where they held the position of Program Chair for the Information Technology department from 2005 to 2014. At ITT Technical Institute, they managed various responsibilities such as hiring and managing instructors, managing student retention, and overseeing IT department tasks. In addition, they taught various classes related to computer networking, technical project management, and information systems and cybersecurity. Eric also worked as a Lead Instructor at Westwood College, where they were responsible for recruiting faculty, training them on departmental policies, and addressing student retention issues. Currently, they work as a Network Security Engineer at onShore Security, where they are part of a small team responsible for monitoring and maintaining network security for a diverse group of clients. Their responsibilities include performing firewall policy changes, maintaining intrusion detection sensors, monitoring network connectivity, maintaining vpn connections, and responding to after-hours emergencies.
Eric Wright obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from DePaul University, where they attended from 1993 to 2000. Subsequently, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland University College, completing the program from 2009 to 2012.
