Senior Security Architect at Onspring

David Veatch has over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Theircareer began in 1995 when they worked as a Consultant at the University of Kansas. In 1997, they began working at UMB Bank as an Internet Services Programmer/Analyst, where they were responsible for HTML/graphic design, applications programming using Perl, and Apache Web Server administration. In 2001, they moved to eScout LLC as a CVS/Apache Administrator, where they implemented and maintained CVS and Apache across 5+ Sun Solaris 5.6/8 and VA Linux servers. In 2003, they joined Gold Banc as an Information Security Specialist, where they monitored, configured, and maintained enterprise network security, wrote security policies and standards, and architected, deployed, and maintained an IDS solution. In 2006, they moved to M&I Bank as a Sr Information Security Analyst, where they led the enterprise installation of a centrally managed password and document storage system and an enterprise encryption solution. In 2007, they joined First National Bank of Omaha as an Information Security Analyst, where they led incident research and response, managed and led audits of security policy compliance, and managed security awareness campaigns. In 2013, they began working at Network Technologies Inc. as a Network Administrator, where they drove best practices for customers with solutions tailored to specific business needs and drove and developed proactive methodologies to reduce issue frequency and severity. In 2017, they moved to Netsmart Technologies as a Security Architect, where they developed a homegrown endpoint scanning solution in Powershell for compliance reporting, managed a vulnerability management platform, and began development of a formal vulnerability management program. Currently, they work as a Senior Security Architect at Onspring.

David Veatch obtained a BSW from The University of Kansas between 1990 and 1997, with a field of study in Computer Engineering, Social Welfare, Illustration and Graphic Design. In 2015, they obtained a MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional and a MCTS: Windows 7 and Office 2010, Deployment from Microsoft. In 2012, they obtained a CISSP from ISC2.
