Daniel Shugar

Daniel Shugar is currently an advisor at OnSwitch. Daniel was previously the President at SunPower Corporation and CEO at Solaria Corporation. At SunPower, they grew revenue from $220 million to $835 million in two years and led the initial development and supply of 310 MW CVSR. At Solaria, they scaled revenue from $1 million to $27 million and built the world's largest LCPV plant. Prior to that, they were the President at PowerLight Corporation where they grew revenue from $1 million to $220 million and achieved dominant market share in North America for several years. Daniel has dozens of PV system inventions and patents issued by USPTO and a focus on trackers and roofing applications.

Daniel Shugar completed their undergraduate degree at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, where they studied electrical and electronics engineering. Daniel then went on to complete their MBA at Golden Gate University. Daniel is now a registered professional engineer in the state of California.
