Ceren Şimşek

Ceren Şimşek is a Field Application Specialist at ONTOFORCE, with a background in bioinformatics and virology. Previously, Ceren served as a Scientific Manager at Excelra following the acquisition of BISC Global, where Ceren was a Bioinformatics Consultant. Ceren’s academic foundation includes a PhD in Virology from KU Leuven, a Master of Science in Predictive and Integrative Animal Biology from Université Paris-Saclay, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University. Ceren has extensive research experience in NGS technologies, microbiome analysis, and infectious diseases, complemented by multiple internships across renowned institutions, including the French National Institute for Agricultural Research and Collège de France.
