Karin Meyer is currently a board member at Onward. Karin has over 25 years of experience in Silicon Valley in various leadership roles. Karin has a long history of working in the tech industry, starting at Charles Schwab in 1993 as a Technical Director in their Electronic Brokerage Technology department. In 2000, they were promoted to Vice President of Architecture & Technology Strategy. Three years later, Karin left Charles Schwab to join Intuit as their Director of Platform Product Management.
In 2014, Karin co-founded Indiforce, a talent marketplace that connects independent workers with project opportunities. As CEO, Karin was responsible for leading all aspects of early-stage start-up, including product ideation and direction, investment, technology and organizational strategies. After successfully running Indiforce for three years, Karin joined Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2) as a Partner.
Most recently, Karin was a Fellow at Stanford University's Distinguished Careers Institute from September 2018 to September 2020. Karin has been an active member of the Silicon Valley community for many years and is passionate about giving back. Karin is currently serving on the board of Onward, a non-profit organization that helps people transition into new careers after age 50.
Karin Meyer has an A.B. in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. in Computer Science from University of Washington.
