Joe Hansen

Joe Hansen has a diverse work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Joe started their career at Mobility Outreach International as an intern, where they designed a prosthetic foot prototype and developed training materials. Joe then worked as a biomedical engineering intern at Physio-Control, where they conducted research and presented findings to senior management. Joe also served as an undergraduate research assistant at Southern Methodist University, where they studied laser welding techniques and worked on additive manufacturing projects. Joe later joined Abbott, where they held various roles, including mechanical engineering co-op and senior product development engineer. At Abbott, Joe contributed to new product development and gained expertise in Python, SQL, Cucumber, and Selenium for cloud development. Most recently, Joe joined ONWARD as a mechanical engineering lead.

Joe Hansen has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical from Southern Methodist University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their High School Diploma from The Blake School from 2010 to 2013. In 2023, Joe attended General Assembly and completed a Python course, earning a Python certificate. Joe also obtained a Software Engineering Immersive Certificate from General Assembly in the same year.
