Marco Lopez (Him, His, he)

Marco Lopez is an Integrated Marketing Leader & Entrepreneur. He has built a career across Brand Strategy, Digital/Social Media, Experiential/Sponsorships, Multicultural Marketing, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

 

Marco’s leadership roles include brands, agencies, start-ups, media. He started his career in Marketing working at MacCormac College in Chicago. He then held several brand & experiential marketing positions at AT&T and Sprint. Marco transitioned to media working for Tribune, Univision, and later at Facebook, and has also contributed to the success of several global marketing agencies including Publicis (AAR $20MM), and on his own, launching Matraca Marketing and elemento (AAR $8MM), both ventures successfully exited.

Under elemento, he led campaigns such as the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, and developed integrated brand initiatives for Target, Jack Daniel’s, Wilson, and Disney to name a few. Elemento become the most awarded Experiential Multicultural Agency under his tenure for 5 consecutive years.

 

Marco considers learning a pivotal part of his professional growth, earning an Executive MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management in 2018.

Marco held several leadership positions at Petco, as Director of local & experiential marketing ($13MM budget) and later leading the brand transformation and expansion of the Vet Hospital business (AAR $72MM) during the pandemic.

 

Marco prides himself in being a cross-collaborator, values creativity, backed by data-driven insights. He is a champion and expert in DEI, a true culturally savvy marketer, leading ERGs at Facebook and founding DEI & ERGs at Petco.

Today, Marco leads three ventures, estudio consulting, a Brand & Marketing Consultancy (MBE Certified), Spotdly a native tech & digitally creative agency, and dedicates 90% of his time to Onxite Analytics, a data analytics platform, withe the objective to modernize measurement & reporting efficacy for the sponsored events.

Marco is currently Vice-chair Board Member of Techqueria, co-founder of Kellogg’s DEI Global Alumni Network, and Committee Advisor at Latinos in Bio. Past boards include: Hispanic Marketing Council and Urban Initiatives.

Marco is a proud Potosino, Chicagoan, and now embracing his San Diegan side.
