Benjamin Hide

Benjamin Hide has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Benjamin started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Serious Promotions Ltd., where they generated contracts and itineraries for artists and supported artist managers with bookings. Benjamin also worked as a Training Advisor at Steadfast Training Ltd., where they delivered vocational training courses and engaged with potential candidates.

Benjamin then transitioned into roles in manufacturing, working as a Line Leader and later as a Machine Operator and Team Leader at TH Clements & Son Ltd. and DYNAMIC CASSETTE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, respectively. In these positions, they performed operational performance and safety inspections, ensured adherence to operational specifications, monitored product quality, recorded and reported errors, and maintained quality standards and safety regulations.

During their time at the University of Lincoln, Benjamin worked as an Ambassador, promoting the undergraduate experience and providing information about specific courses, facilities, and services to prospective students. Benjamin also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher, gaining hands-on research experience by developing an arcade-based research game.

Most recently, Benjamin worked as a Junior Software Engineer at Wren Kitchens, where they were responsible for developing and implementing new features in the company's proprietary frontend kitchen CAD software. Benjamin utilized JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/Less CSS, and frontend technologies such as React.js and Redux.js.

Currently, Benjamin is employed at ONYX Insight as a Software Developer.

Benjamin Hide has a diverse education history that spans over several years. Benjamin started their academic journey at The Helena Romanes School & Sixth Form Centre from 1995 to 2000, where they obtained their GCSE's in Secondary Education. In 2015, Benjamin attended Boston College and completed an Access to HE Diploma (Science) with a focus on Mathematics, Computing, and Physics.

Later, Benjamin enrolled at the University of Lincoln from 2016 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Games Computing) BSc. During their time at the University of Lincoln, Benjamin also attained a certification from Microsoft as an MTA: Software Development Fundamentals - Certified in May 2018.

Moreover, prior to their university studies, in 2015, Benjamin obtained an Access To Higher Education Diploma (Access to Computing) from AIM Awards.
