Junaid Islam

Junaid Islam is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in developing innovative cybersecurity solutions and networking technologies. Currently serving as a Board Member and CTO at XQ since February 2020, Junaid leads the creation of the industry's first Zero Trust Data solution. As a Partner at OODA LLC since January 2019, Junaid provides strategic advisory services focused on national security and technology advancements for Global 500 companies. Junaid's entrepreneurial journey includes founding and serving as CTO of Vidder, Inc., where the first network-based Zero Trust Architecture was developed, and Piano Networks, which created secure IPv6 overlay networks. Previous leadership roles include Founder and CEO at Bivio Networks, Lead Architect at Cisco Systems overseeing VoIP and MPLS initiatives, and pivotal development work at StrataCom on Frame Relay technology for AT&T and military applications. Junaid Islam holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
