John Gilmer

John Gilmer has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. John started their career at Cingular Wireless in 1998 as a Customer Operations Assistant Manager, where they worked until 2001. During this time, they also served as a Technical Support Specialist, troubleshooting equipment issues and service disruptions.

In 2002, Gilmer joined American Roamer, a subsidiary of Mosaik Solutions, where they worked as a Roaming Analyst. John collected and entered spectrum holdings and technical information for wireless operators in North America. John also developed relationships with wireless operators to verify and acquire information.

In 2003, Gilmer became the Director of Research at American Roamer and oversaw the acquisition and maintenance of wireless operator information. John created and developed the GIS team within American Roamer. In 2008, they took on the role of Director of Geographic Information Services, managing a team of GIS Analysts and overseeing the development of geospatial products and international wireless coverage library.

In 2013, Gilmer was promoted to Vice President of Data Integrity at Mosaik Solutions. John had primary responsibility for the quality and accuracy of Mosaik's data sets, including coverage and spectrum holdings. John also created and managed various teams, such as the Data Analyst and Vertical Infrastructure teams.

In 2018, Mosaik Solutions was acquired by Ookla, and Gilmer transitioned into the role of Product Director. John is responsible for the former Mosaik product line, assisting Sales with product knowledge, developing new features, and ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of the product line.

With their extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, Gilmer has demonstrated their expertise in data integrity, GIS analysis, and product development.

John Gilmer attended State Technical Institute from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they also attended Harding Academy of Memphis, but the specific start and end years, as well as any degree or field of study, are unknown.
