Raúl Márquez

Raúl Márquez has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Raúl currently holds the position of Senior Network Engineer at Ookla, starting in October 2022. Before that, they worked at Ericsson, where they had various roles. From July 2021 to September 2022, they served as a Network Design and Optimization Expert. Prior to that, they were a Product Owner from April 2018 to July 2021, where they were responsible for creating an ML-powered application for predicting capacity issues in mobile networks and conducting data analysis. Additionally, Raúl worked as a Research Engineer from December 2016 to April 2018, focusing on the development of machine learning prototypes and data analysis. Raúl also served as a Network Capacity Planning Analyst from January 2014 to November 2016, where they applied RF expertise to design new features.

Before their time at Ericsson, Raúl worked as a Senior RF Engineer at OFG from July 2006 to May 2013. Raúl also briefly worked as an RF Engineer UMTS at Nokia Networks in 2006 and as an RF Engineer at Telefónica España from February 2005 to September 2005.

Raúl Márquez earned a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Málaga between the years 1995 and 2001. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Data Science Specialization from Coursera in January 2019.
