Brian Merrell

Brian Merrell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brian is currently working as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Oomnitza since May 2022.

Before joining Oomnitza, Brian co-founded BelugaLock in May 2020, where they served as the Leader of All Things Technology and was responsible for cloud architecture design, platform development, project planning and management, recruiting, and business development. Brian left BelugaLock in January 2022.

Prior to that, Brian worked at DreamBox Learning from October 2017 to January 2020. Brian started as a DevOps Engineer and later became a Site Reliability Engineer II. Brian'sresponsibilities included developing a new cloud-native platform, migrating legacy applications, and participating in on-call rotation for production issue resolution.

From September 2013 to February 2017, Brian worked at Apex Learning as a DevOps Engineer and System Support Specialist. Brian was involved in application support, system administration, infrastructure automation, and application migration to Amazon Web Services. Brian also worked as a Support Representative, providing technical assistance to clients.

Brian also has freelance experience as a Web Developer from August 2012 to November 2013 and worked as a Content Editor at ProgrammableWeb from September 2011 to February 2012.

Brian Merrell completed their education at the University of Washington from 2006 to 2012. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics, with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction.
