Ooredoo Fintech was formed in 2022, with a mission to financially empower people and businesses in the MENA region.

The company currently operates two financial technology businesses: Ooredoo Money in Qatar, walletii by Ooredoo in Oman and m-Faisaa in the Maldives. 

With the formation of Ooredoo Fintech, its subsidiaries in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Tunisia, and the Maldives will offer compelling solutions to consumers and SMEs. By combining extensive knowledge about the local market with a well-established mobile money expertise, Ooredoo Fintech aims to deliver innovative financial solutions that propel its mission.

Ooredoo Fintech is a fully owned subsidiary of the Qatar-based Ooredoo Group, which is a leading international telecommunications company with over 164 mln subscribers across the MENA region and Southeast Asia.
