Sébastien Cense

Sébastien Cense is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience at OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES, currently serving as Director of R&D FPGA Simulation. This role involves managing the developmental roadmap of the eHS HIL simulator and leading a team of 10-15 employees focused on Agile methodologies. Previous positions include Development Team Lead, where Sébastien implemented technical supervision, team coaching, and product management for software development, and FPGA Application Specialist, contributing to the creation of power electronics simulation IP cores. Sébastien also has experience as a Product Owner, managing product backlogs and roadmaps, and as an Intern FPGA Specialist Engineer, developing advanced control systems. Prior to OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES, Sébastien completed an internship as an Electronic Engineer at KTR-Lab and holds a Master’s Degree in Electronics from Institut Superieur de l'Electronique et du Numerique (ISEN Lille).
