Jennifer Block

Jennifer Block is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in various media roles since 2000, currently self-employed. Contributions to well-known publications such as The Village Voice, The Nation, and Washington Post magazine highlight a diverse portfolio. Block has served as a mentor-editor for The OpEd Project since 2012, guiding community leaders and activists in articulating their ideas through op-eds. Teaching experience includes an adjunct instructor position at Pima Community College from 2010 to 2012, where media studies and feature writing were taught. Previous editorial roles include associate editor at Ms. Magazine, senior editor at Plenty magazine, and opinion editor at Grist, where attention was given to diverse contributors.
