James Kemp is an experienced Infrastructure Architect with a robust background in virtualization and infrastructure design. Currently, at Opel since August 2017, James is leading the design and implementation of a new virtualization platform, overseeing the migration of thousands of virtual machines from US data centers following Opel's separation from General Motors. Prior to this role, James served at General Motors from March 2013 to July 2017, where responsibilities included leading VMware-related infrastructure globally and providing strategic architectural guidance to the European region. James's career began at Hewlett-Packard, where work encompassed the deployment and support of VMware farms, Unix and Windows Server support, system design, and application integration. James holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
