Chief Digital Sculptor - Pro Lab & New Modeling Technologies at Opel

Tom Woods has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Tom started their career in 2004 as a Design Researcher at Umeå Design Research Group. In 2005, they worked briefly as a Studio Industrial Designer at Pilotfish GmbH. Tom then joined GM Design Europe - Adam Opel GmbH in 2006 as a Digital Sculptor, and later became a Senior Digital Designer at Mazda Motor Europe in 2011. Tom took on the role of Chief Digital Sculptor - Advanced Design at Opel in 2012, where they were responsible for planning and coordinating exterior and interior digital modeling activities. In 2019, they became Chief Digital Sculptor - Pro Lab & New Modeling Technologies. Throughout their career, Tom has contributed to the development of various concept cars and showcar proposals.

Tom Woods earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design from Northumbria University between 1998 and 2001. Tom then pursued a Master's degree in Transportation Design from Umeå University, completing their studies between 2002 and 2005.
