James O'Donnell

James O'Donnell is an experienced leader in financial services, currently serving as Director at Open Analytics since April 2018, focusing on modernizing underwriting and risk management for banks and credit providers. Prior to this role, O'Donnell worked at Westpac Group from September 2015 to April 2018, where responsibilities included leading the end-to-end delivery of IFRS-9 Expected Credit Loss models for diverse credit portfolios as IFRS-9 Model Delivery Lead. Additionally, O'Donnell held the position of Acting Head of Credit Risk Analytics, overseeing a significant restructuring of Westpac’s credit risk function and establishing a centralized analytics center of excellence.
