Malcolm Hall

Malcolm is the founder of Open Box. He is responsible for developing the strategic direction of the group and oversight of its management teams, ensuring that Open Box continues to deliver to the level of pride and dedication with which he started the company in 2001.

Malcolm has held senior management positions at Deloitte (UK) and e2i (UK), prior to which he was a founding member of an ERP consultancy in South Africa. Malcolm has more recently been involved in a number of other tech start-ups as founder, investor or board member; including Open Lease, Get Sporty, and Magnetic.

He has served on the board of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and has been a finalist for South African Entrepreneur of the Year. He is passionate about mentorship and is a mentor to a number of business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Malcolm is a keen and highly competitive sportsman. A sailing world champion and multiple national champion, he has represented South Africa in both sailing and long-distance triathlon.
