Andy Ball has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and companies. Andy began their career at Pacific Star Communications as a Billing Operations/Support Engineer. Andy then worked as a Solution Architect/Project Manager at Independent Business Consultant. Afterward, they joined AOL as a Solution Architect/Product Manager, where they led various strategic initiatives and product launches in different European territories. Andy then served as a Senior Product Manager at O2 Ireland before moving to Sky, where they held the position of Senior Product Manager. At Sky, they played a key role in launching new broadband products and negotiating large-scale contracts. Most recently, they joined open eir as the Head of Broadband and Access Products, leading a team in the development and management of a portfolio of wholesale products. Throughout their career, Andy Ball has showcased expertise in product management, strategic planning, and contract negotiations.
Andy Ball's education history includes a range of degrees and certificates obtained over several years. In 1987 and 1988, they attended Macintyre High School, where they earned a High School Certificate with a focus on subjects such as English, Maths, Physics, Engineering Science, Chemistry, and Ancient History. From 1996 to 2003, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology at the University of Central Queensland. In 2004, they attended "\"The Office\" Business Collage" and earned a Certificate in Business Administration. In 2005 and 2006, they attended The George Washington University and completed a Professional Certificate in Business Analysis. Finally, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management of Internet Enterprise Systems at Dublin City University.

Our fibre network now passes 1.7 million homes and businesses in cities, towns and villages across the country. We have also committed to extending our high-speed fibre to the home footprint in rural Ireland by connecting an additional 330,000 homes and businesses to speeds of up to 1,000Mb/s by 2020; transforming how those communities work, learn, live and play. open eir's national fibre rollout will bring the number of premises in Ireland with access to high-speed internet to 1.9 million in 2020.
