Kate Waddell is an accomplished Senior Leader with over 16 years of experience in management within the telecoms industry. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Programmes at open eir since 2023, Kate has previously held roles including Manager of the National Fibre Network Programme and Head of Business Support & Transformation. With a strong background in Programme Management, Process Transformation, and Network Design, Kate is recognized for fostering collaborative teamwork and driving optimization initiatives. Additionally, Kate is an active committee member of eir We Lead and the eir PRISM LGBTQI+ and Ally employee network, supporting diversity in leadership roles. Kate holds a BE hons in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and a Diploma in Financial Management from Griffith College Dublin.
