Mike Bekin

Mike Bekin is an experienced professional in the fields of sustainable timber sourcing and ecological responsibility, serving as Owner/Manager of Ecochoice since December 2005, where innovative approaches to tropical timber imports have been developed. Bekin is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Timber Decking and Cladding Association and holds advisory roles with the Open Forest Protocol, Kanop, and iNovaLand Investment Limited. Additionally, Bekin founded Net Positive Partners, focusing on strategies to promote positive environmental impact. As a Non-Executive Director and Trustee at FSC UK, Bekin contributes to sustainable forestry practices. Previous roles include managing director at MB Marketing Consulting and international product manager at Cervejaria Ambev. Bekin's academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, an MSc in Science Philosophy from Schumacher College, and ongoing studies for a Master's degree in Sustainability Studies at the University of Cambridge.
