Mike Nicholas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mike has worked as a Lead Programme Manager and Programme Manager at Open GI, where they were responsible for major programmes of work for key clients. Prior to that, they worked at RED Talent Management as an Actor, Presenter, Voice Over, Role Play, and Training professional. Mike also served as a Software Delivery Project Leader at OGL Computer Services Group, where they led projects for hardware and software solutions. Mike has also held various roles at Severn Trent Water, including Business Project Manager, Leakage Team Manager, Subject Matter Expert, Regional Leakage Performance Manager, County Demand Manager, and Senior Service Desk Analyst. Mike has experience in areas such as performance management, coaching, and water distribution. Mike's earlier roles include Area Sales Manager at What More UK Ltd, Regional Sales Manager at Crystalware Ltd, Sales Engineer at StraxGas, and Business Development Manager at Focal Point Fires Plc. Mike began their career as a 1st Line Technical Support at Cap Gemini/Ernst & Young and worked as a Recruitment Consultant at Wissenbach Human Resources.

Mike Nicholas attended Solihull College from 1996 to 1997, where they obtained a degree in Marketing (CIM). Mike has also obtained additional certifications in AgilePM® Foundation and AgilePM® Practitioner from APMG International in 2021. In 2020, they obtained a Management & Leadership Level 3 certification from The Institute of Leadership & Management.
