Axel Olson is an accomplished architectural designer and academic with extensive experience in both teaching and research. Currently serving as a Graduate Student Instructor at Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, University of Michigan, Axel has contributed to courses such as Sustainable Systems and Arch Representation. Axel's research work includes participation in significant grant projects like “More Room at the Table” and “Network Structures,” while also being involved in the Simulated Assemblies Lab. Previous roles encompass positions at firms such as Perkins and Will, OPEN OFFICE, and PLY+ architecture, where design and project management competencies were honed. Axel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and Design from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan, expected to graduate in 2024.
