Matthew Toussain has a long and varied work experience. Matthew began their career in 2010 as a Web Developer for Kinozoa. In 2011, they were the Chief Technical Officer, Board Member, and Co-Founder of Spherady Inc., and the Lead Developer for the Subterfuge Project. Matthew also served in the United States Air Force from 2011 to 2014, where they were a Senior Tactics Development Team Lead, Curriculum Developer, and Commander of Cyber 256. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Founder of Open Security, Inc., where they built client relationships and performed vulnerability risk assessments. In 2017, they became a Senior Information Security Analyst at Black Hills Information Security. Finally, in 2019, they became a Senior Information Security Analyst at CounterHack Challenges.
Matthew Toussain obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy between 2008 and 2012. Matthew then attended Undergraduate Cyber Training in 2012 and 2013, and Intermediate Network Warfare Training in 2013 and 2014, both in the field of Cyber/Electronic Operations and Warfare. In 2014, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity Engineering from SANS Technology Institute. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, GIAC Security Expert (GSE) from GIAC Certifications, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) and GIAC Certified Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB) from SANS Institute, GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) from GIAC Certifications, GIAC Security Essentials Certified (GSEC) from SANS Institute, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from SANS Institute, and Security+ from CompTIA.
