Fred Morcos

Fred Morcos is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various programming languages and technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Open-Xchange since February 2022, Fred focuses on PowerDNS development. Prior to this role, Fred worked at Oracle on the GraalVM’s LLVM Runtime, enhancing capabilities for C, C++, and Rust. Additional experience includes contributions at Symflower GmbH, Intel Corporation, and a research role at the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, where Fred significantly improved performance in parallel processing tasks. Fred holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from The German University in Cairo, complemented by further studies in visualization.
