Akshay Nathan currently leads the core product engineering team at OpenAI, focusing on enhancing the core experience and collaborating with research to develop innovative products. Prior to OpenAI, Akshay served as an Engineering Manager at Airtable, where support was provided to three teams aimed at driving enterprise adoption and addressing challenges faced by large customers. As a Co-Founder of walrus.ai, Akshay built a no-code test automation platform and led a global team before the company was acquired by Airtable. Earlier in the career, Akshay was a Staff Software Engineer at Wealthfront, contributing to the development of a comprehensive financial services stack and improving the accounting system for customer assets and transfers. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Yale University.
