Alex Gee has several years of work experience in the financial services industry. Alex is currently the Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting at OpenAI, where they lead the technical accounting and reporting functions for the organization. Prior to this, they worked at PwC for over 10 years, where they held various roles, including Director - Deals, Consulting Solutions, Director - National Quality Organization, Digital Solutions, and Director - National Accounting Services Group, Financial Instruments. Alex started their career at PwC as an Associate and worked their way up to Senior Manager. Alex also has experience working as a Royalty Accountant at Taco Del Mar and as a Cashier at PCC Community Markets. Throughout their career, Alex has exhibited exceptional financial acumen and adaptability, guiding clients through various transformative events and delivering valuable insights in areas such as business combinations, consolidation, financial reporting, and more. Alex is a proven leader with strong command of fund accounting and valuation methodologies.

Alex Gee earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business in 2009. In 2010, Alex obtained a Master's degree in Public Accounting from the same institution. Alex has also obtained several certifications, including Digital Acumen, Data Tools and Visualisation, Alteryx Designer Core Certified, Business Analytics: Data Wrangling, and Human-Centered Design, from PwC. Additionally, Alex has earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the California Board of Accountancy and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
