Andrew Platt has a diverse background in public policy, social impact, and legislative affairs. Experience includes serving as an Outreach and Research Assistant for the U.S. House Democratic Caucus and holding various positions in the field of education policy, notably as Vice President of Policy + Social Impact at Vemo Education, where responsibility included developing a public policy effort for income share agreements. Platt served as a Delegate in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Gaithersburg and Rockville, becoming one of the youngest state legislators at age 25. Currently, Platt co-founded Statt, focusing on AI for public policy, and serves as an Advisor at OpenAI. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The Catholic University of America and a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University.
